Spain
It is obvious to travel to Spain if you want to experience history and have great natural and cultural experiences. You can read more about traveling to Spain in the articles further down the page.
Spain is a terrific travel country. The country is both the well-known beach spots from the Costa Del Sol to the Costa Brava and the coastal towns from Barcelona to Málaga. The islands of Tenerife and Mallorca, where you understand why some of the first tourism started there. The elegant capital Madrid, which is on the travel plans of many Danes. And then, of course, there is the slightly lesser-known Spain, where a fantastic travel country hides behind the tourist towns.
You can walk the camino to Santiago de Compostela and indulge in the finest gastronomy in San Sebastian. You can fall in love with the beautiful city of Seville, and take in the many fortifications and castles, for example in the university city of Salamanca. Perhaps the most unknown are the country's natural areas, which Picos de Europa with the many butterflies in the north, and the volcanic area Cabo de Gata-Nijar Natural Park in the south.
Whatever you are looking for, Spain delivers. So it is perhaps not so strange that the country keeps appearing on the list of Danes' favorite travel destinations. Just remember that there is so much more to come than what you can find if you only come to Calella and Torremolinos. And the best part is that if you get just a little bit away from the tourist towns you have a lot of it to yourself.
