- North of Taghazout is a lagoon where you can rent a canoe or kayak. The lagoon is home to many bird species, including flamingos and herons as well as aquatic animals such as dolphins and whales - if you are of course lucky enough to spot them.
- A few kilometers from Taghazout is an area of desert dunes, which can be explored by four-wheel drive vehicles or off-road motorcycles. Here you can really be allowed to get your heart rate up.

Shopping in Souk El Had close to Agadir
Souk El Had is a traditional Moroccan marketplace located in Taghazout. The souk is filled with vendors selling everything from spices to lamps and clothes.
The market has simply EVERYTHING you can dream of and more - and you can even haggle over the prices.
Souk El Had is definitely a good place to visit on your vacation in Morocco, if you are looking for souvenirs or gifts to take home - the prices are also lower than the medina in Marrakesh.
Mountain goats and argan trees
Taghazout is known for its traditional argan oil production. The argan trees grow up in the mountains around Taghazout and the oil comes from their fruits.
If you drive up the mountains to visit the local producers, you can most often encounter the whimsical mountain goats relaxing in the argan trees - a very fun sight to meet as a tourist. As visitors to the country, Moroccans are very accommodating and like to show how argan oil is produced in the old-fashioned way - a really dedicated and detailed process.
As part of the local culture, it is often also common to be invited into their home, where you get the opportunity to taste their local bread, dipped in the various oils, along with a cup of mint tea.
The locals also still use donkeys to carry the fruits up into the mountains where they produce the famous oil. The production of argan oil is more than just a business for them; it is also part of their culture.
