Thailand: Visit the land of smiles during your summer vacation
Our second offer is much further away from Denmark's borders, but an at least as big summer holiday favorite with the Danes, namely Thailand - the land of smiles.
Thailand are known for their bounty beaches, great snorkelling and diving opportunities, magnificent temples and, not least, sumptuous and excellent food.
Go to Bangkok and experience a hectic and exciting metropolis, where the Thai tuktuk taxis fly past you and where the food markets abound with fruit, vegetables, meat and spices – both those on land and the floating markets. Take a break from the busy city and head inside the jungle, which is close to the city.
If you are looking for something cultural, then Thailand also has plenty to offer. Go to Chiang Rai and experience the White Temple, Wat rong khun, or head to the stunning island Phuket to see The Big Buddha.
If you have had enough big city and culture, then of course there is what Thailand is probably best known for, and which they make top marks: A sea of exquisite bounty islands and paradise beaches.
Thailand has lots of beautiful islands from the great celebrities Koh Samui og Phuket to small lesser known islands like Koh Chang and Koh Tao. Here is something for every taste, so just set the compass accordingly Thailand for your summer vacation and expect smiles and a “welcome back” from the locals.

Costa Rica: Summer vacation for nature and animal lovers
Third bid on the list is enchanting Costa Rica.
Costa Rica is located in Central America and is an overlooked gem. With a placement between Nicaragua to the north and Panama in the south, Costa Rica also gives you easy opportunity to experience even more of the continent.
Costa Rica is a pure paradise of white bounty beaches and colorful rainforest. There are quite a few national parks around. If you are an animal lover, you can make a difference in several places to save the animals either practically or financially. Among other things, you can enter the Jaguar Rescue Center, where they rescue injured toucans and sloths.
Costa Rica is a small country the size of Denmark. This also means that there are more cards havet on both sides, where the crystal clear blue water beckons for a delicious dip. If your summer holiday should also be a beach holiday – mixed with some water sports and surfing – then Costa Rica should be on your list.
Turkey: Soar into a wonderland
Our fourth recommendation goes to Turkey.
Most people probably think of sun, beach and cheap drinks when they think of Turkey. Alanya og Antalya are excellent examples of this with miles of sunbeds right down to the Mediterranean , delicious beach restaurants and azure blue water.
But Turkey is much more than that. Are you heading towards the city of millions Istanbul, you fall into a fantastic mix of modern metropolis and ancient culture. In addition, Istanbul is also the only million city in the world, which is located on two continents; namely both in Europe og Asia.
If you go further east into the country, you hit Cappadocia.

Our fifth commandment is a little closer to home; namely beautiful Croatia.
Croatia is perfect for summer. The country offers crystal clear water, beautiful islands and Mediterranean food with lots of flavor. With a coastline of over 600 km and more 1000 islands there is plenty of opportunity to frolic havet, sail from island to island and taste everything good havet.
If you are looking for culture on your summer holiday, Croatia also has a lot to offer. If you go to Dubrovnik, probably one of Croatia's most famous cities, there is a sea of architectural wonders such as the Fortress of St. John, the Sponza Palace, the Rector's Palace, the Franciscan Monastery and the Dominican Monastery.
In addition, Croatia is also an excellent starting point to visit Balkans and some of the other countries of the former Yugoslavia and environs. Slovenia, Serbia, Hungary og Bosnia Herzegovina borders all of Croatia and is obvious to visit on the way back to Denmark.

Of course, there are also many great opportunities for summer vacation in the rest of the world.
Austria is a country that many associate with ski holidays and snow, but it's actually also a great travel destination for summer. Visit the capital Vienna with all the cultural experiences the city has to offer or take on drive yourself vacation through the country - perhaps on the way to some of the more southern countries like France, Italy or Portugal.
You can also make a stop in Spain. The capital Madrid is a cultural gem out of the ordinary, or continue all the way to the Mediterranean coast and experience Malaga, Granada and the Sun Coast.

Should you had nature for all the money, then is Canada the ultimate travel destination for your summer trip. Huge natural landscapes, snow-capped mountains, breathtaking lakes and a rich wildlife make it an experience you will remember for a lifetime.
And if you belong to those who just love animal experiences, then is Tanzania the answer. With some of Africa's best national parks and that one world famous tropical island of Zanzibar er Tanzania the answer to your summer vacation plans if you are running around with a desire to see lions, elephants or hippos in its natural surroundings.
