Why summer in Flachau?
In the middle of the mountains to the south Salzburg i Austria is the village of Flachau.
The area's many ski resorts make Flachau an attractive destination for ski enthusiasts and snowboarders, but in the summer a whole new world of experiences opens up for travelers who want a holiday with sports, nature experiences and adventure.

Fun sports for the big gold medal in Flachau

If you're hungry for more, you can indulge in activities such as 'mountain pushing', 'zorbing', take a ride on the Lucky Flitzer slide (locally called a Rodelbahn) or give the children a ride in the 'mini- quads'. Yes, the experiences are waiting in line in this cozy town in the middle of Austria's beautiful mountains.
On land, at sea and in the air
For the serious sports enthusiast, there is also plenty to tackle. With more than 500 kilometers bike and mountain bike trails and routes of varying difficulty, Flachau is the perfect place to jump on the two-wheeler. You can, for example, rent a mountain bike, road bike, 'fat bike' or electric bike for the purpose. Enjoy the breathtaking hills, beautiful viewpoints and green valleys on your way.
Flachau is also an obvious place to experience at sea. You can go kayaking or take part in a 'canyoning' trip. Here you walk through the green river and the gorges, where you have to climb the obstacles of unspoiled nature on your way.
What about paragliding for the ultimate adrenaline rush and an unforgettable view of the Austrian Alps? The trip takes place with an experienced pilot, so you can enjoy the trip carefree while you soar down between the mountains.
