Everything about the trip to China

China is a fabulous travel destination. The country is full of famous sights such as the Great Wall of China, which is more than 2200 years old and stretches for 5000 kilometers across the vast country. Head to the province of Zhejiang in the southeast, where the island of a thousand lakes is a must-see natural area. Visit Beijing, the capital with a long history, where the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven and Tiananmen Square dominate. Or head to the country's other megacity, Shanghai, which is almost Western with everything your heart desires. If you like big and impressive sights, you can either go to Leshan and see a giant Buddha of more than 70 meters, carved into a cliff. Or go to Asia's largest waterfall, Huangguoshu.

Whatever you're looking for, China delivers. So it is perhaps not so strange that the country keeps appearing on the list of Danes' favorite travel destinations. And the best part is that if you get just a little bit away from the tourist towns you have a lot of it to yourself - despite the fact that it is the world's most populated country.
