The best of all worlds

Barcelona is a city that goes straight to the heart of everyone who visits it. Whether it's the food, the architecture, shopping, football, the beaches, the people or just the atmosphere in general, it's hard to say exactly. But Barcelona is undoubtedly something special.

In the north-eastern corner of the city itself, in the hip district of Poblenou, you will find the hotel Hilton Diagonal Mar, and it is at this hotel that you can let yourself be pampered Purobeach Barcelona.

Purobeach is an urban oasis with pool, spa, bar and luxury right in the middle of the city. It is easy to get to and from the hotel and Purobeach and literally just around the corner there is both a mall with restaurants, supermarket, clothes shops and IMAX cinema on one side and an excellent beach on the other.

Whether you have the family with you or are on a romantic couple's weekend with your better half, it is difficult to find a more obvious place to spend time than at Purobeach Barcelona. Here you have everything gathered in one place, and you can let the relaxation begin as soon as you arrive.

Purobeach and Hilton are perfect as both base and oasis

The Hilton Diagonal Mar hotel is a five-star treat, and if you want even more stars, you can visit the Michelin-starred restaurant Aürt, which is located in the hotel's foyer; a completely unique location for a restaurant in that class. Together with the 'sister restaurant' Ma'I, the restaurant has an open kitchen, so you can see when the unique local food is made.

In addition to the restaurant, the hotel has of course everything you could ask for in the form of a fitness center, business area and so on, and the hotel is often used for conferences. There is a view to as well the Mediterranean such as to downtown Barcelona with the impressive church La Sagrada Familia as a focal point and even to the mountain Tibidabo, where the sun sets behind.

The hotel is perfect as a base for a city break in one of the coolest cities in the world.

Even if you don't stay at the hotel, it is quite obvious - and definitely recommended - to pay a visit to the 2nd floor, where you will find Purobeach. You can advantageously pre-order a sunbed, and they are available in several different models with and without a 'roof' and as both single and double beds. Then you just have to bring swimwear and sunscreen, check in at the entrance and Purobeach will take care of the rest. Also remember flip-flops, because the wooden floor gets quite hot in the sun.

The saltwater pool is unavoidable and almost indispensable on the hot days Spain, and the excellent bar with the equally excellent exotic drinks is definitely recommended from here. The bar specializes in their very popular non-alcoholic drinks and cocktails, and of course you can also get them in a non-alcoholic version.

Purobeach's own restaurant serves delicious dishes with both a local touch and the well-known international cuisine, and it all takes place to soul-inspired house music, which sets the mood for a relaxing day of pampering. In fact, the rhythms of the music have a relaxing effect on the body and head, which was a bit of a surprise at first.

If you need a massage - and who doesn't really - then you just book an appointment the spa, and then you come out a new person an hour later.

A day at Purobeach works wonders, so treat yourself to it. And more days just make it all that much better. No matter where in the city you live, relax at Purobeach - you definitely deserve it.

Cool Barcelona at your feet

Although it is tempting to lie by the pool all holiday and just do as little as possible, there is of course also a lot to see in Barcelona. Take a stroll through the old quarter Barri Gòtic, hit the beach at Barceloneta, get your heart pumping by 'climbing' Montjuïc, play tourist on the Ramblas and play local at the market, and seek shelter from the sun at one of the world-renowned museums.

Of course, also spend time eating, drinking and snacking and shopping and looking at windows in one of the world's most famous shopping cities. And you must not miss Antoni Gaudí's very special and slightly crazy architecture around the city. There is plenty to do - Barcelona is just cool and the city is right at your feet.

When the day's program is over, it's simply wonderful to step into the hotel and know that everything is working and that you can just turn off your worries and recharge your batteries. For that purpose, Hilton Diagonal Mar and not least Purobeach Barcelona are simply ideal. Definitely recommended for everyone who could use a little something good for themselves and their loved ones.
