Whatever you are looking for, it is available in China.

There are huge modern metropolises and unbelievably beautiful and unique landscapes. There is a very special wildlife and an incredible history - both old and new, and not least there are a whole lot of different cultural experiences.

Beijing

Beijing is an obvious destination as you will find here some of the most famous symbols of China.

You will not miss a visit to the Great Wall of China and the Forbidden City, and the capital has plenty of gastronomy, experiences and city life to offer. Beijing is constantly growing and the city is developing enormously fast.

The city's metro system is soon the world's largest, and new sides of the ever - changing and marvelous capital are constantly being discovered.

Ice sculptures in Manchuria

North of Beijing is northeastern China, which is the ancient industrial area on the border with Russia and North Korea.

The culture here is very special, and especially in winter, when the temperature drops to -20 degrees, it is a very special place to visit. The large ice sculpture festival in Harbin attracts guests from near and especially far away, who wrap up well and take part in an impressive festival with ice and light.

The story is always included as a passenger when you travel around China, and up here tells the story of the time when the area was called Manchuria with its very own culture and narrative.

China's ancient center Xi'an

The capital has not always been in Beijing. In the past, the center of China was further south, and you will find quite unique evidence of ancient times of greatness in the city of Xi'an and in the area along the Yellow River.

In Xi'an, you will not be able to avoid meeting the first Qin emperor, whose huge burial ground houses the Terracotta Warriors, who are still under excavation.

It is an impressive sight, which only becomes more impressive when you think about how it was possible to build something of that magnitude 2000 years ago.

Nomads and mountains

To the west are China's large but sparsely populated provinces of Tibet, Xinjiang, Qinghai and Inner Mongolia. Here you will find world - class and giant nature experiences.

This is where you will find desert, plains and the world's highest mountains along with some of the world's friendliest people who still cherish their special cultures and languages.

There is a long way to the neighbor - especially if the neighbor is a nomad who moves his tent around the big plains.

Pandaland

Southern China is dominated by the heat of summer, and also the many different ethnic groups that still inhabit the southern provinces.

Sichuan with the pandas and the remote mountains is every backpacker's paradise - or Shangri-La - and the megacity of Chongqing on the banks of the Yangtze River gives memories of the future movie Blade Runner with neon commercials in the haze in the evening.

Hong Kong and Macau

Along the south coast you will find both the gambling mecca Macau, historic Canton (now named Guangzhou) and the crown colony of Hong Kong and the neighboring metropolis of Shenzhen, which in a few years has gone from being a fishing village to the world of electronics. Everything is going strong in China these years.

Beach in China? Check out Hainan

South of the mainland lies 'China's Mallorca', namely the island of Hainan. The island has sun, sand and beach as we know and love it. Here pure relaxation and vacation are doomed.

Adventure in the rocks

China has some of the wildest and most adventurous landscapes in the world that have inspired the dream landscapes in the movie “Avatar”. Just look at the hilly landscapes of Guilin, the unreal rock formations of Zhangjiajie and the Three Gorges of the Yangtze.

Shanghai

At the mouth of the Yangtze, Shanghai is eternally fascinating with its variegated history, mesmerizing skyline and pumping modern city life. Shopping and gastronomy are no better than in Shanghai, so there is plenty to take care of.

Pagodas and skyscrapers in China

The whole country is bound together by high-speed trains, which shoot off through the landscapes. The development is unstoppable. China is constantly changing - but always in step with history. The ancient temples and pagodas stand side by side with modern skyscrapers in imaginative design. That is why China is a country that you as a traveler never really finish, and that is why China is forever located in the middle of the world.

Good trip to China.
